Divorce & Dissolution

Central Ohio Divorce and Dissolution Attorney

No Matter What Stage Your Family Is In, Family Matters

divorce If you are considering filing for divorce, but have concerns that the anger and bitterness that often accompany the end of a marriage will have a detrimental effect on you or your children, you want a lawyer who will work to find a creative and collaborative solution to your legal needs.

At our office in Delaware, we emphasize negotiation, mediation and a collaborative approach as alternatives to the emotional and financial costs of divorce litigation. We are also experienced litigators who will fight for our clients in court, when necessary. We work with clients throughout central Ohio. Contact our office to schedule a confidential consultation.

In our practice, we emphasize creative solutions to divorce and dissolution issues that allow men and women throughout the area to terminate a marriage, but retain a positive working relationship with an ex-spouse. Though we will ensure that your interests are protected, we do not start with the assumption that the end of your marriage is the beginning of a battle. We will not take a situation that can be resolved amicably and make it adversarial. However, if we find it is necessary, we will pursue all avenues within the adversarial system, including trial, in order to best protect your interests and your rights.

Divorce

We handle all matters related to divorce and family law, including child custody and visitation, child support, spousal support and alimony, and the division of marital property. We work with clients at all stages of a divorce or dissolution, from the initial filing and the determination of temporary orders for support, custody or visitation, to requests for post-decree modification of existing orders.

Dissolution

In addition to traditional divorce proceedings, we represent clients who want to file for the dissolution of a marriage. In Ohio, if you and your spouse agree on custody, visitation, support and the division of property, you can jointly file a petition for dissolution, seeking a "no-fault" termination of your marriage. You must also file a separation agreement and a parenting plan. If you opt for dissolution, we will work with you to ensure that you receive fair treatment.

If you want a dedicated and experienced attorney to help you resolve your divorce or family law matter, contact our offices to arrange a confidential consultation. Visa and MasterCard are accepted.
